Abstract
The construction of Damai Bridge experienced the constraints of heavy rain weather factors that resulted in river levels rising and flooding on February 1 - March 17 (46 Days Idle time) at the time of piling on the banks of the river side of Damai Seberang. With idle time, for 46 days caused the construction of the bridge to be late progress to minus 25%.
This delay requires an analysis of the acceleration of implementation time so that it can be achieved according to the initial target. This research uses the crashing method which is a method of speeding up the project systematically and analytically by shortening the project time. This method uses Microsoft Project with the option of adding labor and a work shift system.
From the results of the study, the project cost in the condition after crashing with the alternative of adding Labor was obtained at Rp. 28.531.756.479,7 or cheaper 0,759 % of the project cost under normal conditions and the project duration was 331 working days or faster than 9,31% of the normal duration, while the total cost of the project in conditions after crashing with the alternative of implementing a work shift system (shift 1, shift 2, shift 3, and shift 4) were obtained for Rp. 29.010.266.686,3 or more expensive 0,905 % of project costs under normal conditions and project duration of 319 days or faster than 12,6 % of normal duration.
