Abstract
Utilization of class C quarry materials, especially lava andesite stones in the industrial world and the construction sector plays a very important role to support a development project. In the research area, precisely in the Wonogiri Regency, the excavated material C (andesite) has not been utilized maximally. This study aims to determine the value of the quality and quantity of lava andesite rocks in the study area and provide information on the feasibility and optimization of the utilization of mineral resources C. The methods used by this research are qualitative and quantitative methods. Based on field data that researchers took in LP 4 (Sample 04), LP 18 (Sample 18), and LP 50 (Sample 50) showed that lava andesite rocks in the field had weathering degree class 1 and Class 2 with fresh criteria (not weathered) until mild weathered. The results of the geological hammer collision test obtained in the field showed that the lava andesite rock was very strong to extraordinarily strong. Lava andesite rock has a specific gravity ranging from 2,578 gr / cm3 - 2,678 gr / cm3. The results of laboratory and studio analyzes show that the sample 04 has a compressive strength value of 1193,542 can be used as a building foundation can be used as an aircraft runway material. Sample 18 has a compressive strength value of 1121,281and Sample 18 has a compressive strength value of 1605,644 = Pemanfaatan bahan galian golongan C, khususnya batu lava andesit dalam dunia industri maupun sektor kontruksi memegang peranan yang sangat penting guna menunjang suatu proyek pembangunan. Pada daerah penelitian tepatnya di Kabupaten Wonogiri bahan galian C (lava andesit) tersebut belum dimanfaatkan secara maksimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui nilai kualitas batuan lava andesit pada daerah penelitian serta memberikan informasi kelayakan dan optimalisasi pemanfaatan sumber daya bahan tambang galian C. Metode yang peneliti gunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Berdasarkan data lapangan yang peniliti ambil di LP 4 (Sampel 04), LP 18 (Sampel 18), dan LP 50 (Sampel 50) menunjukkan bahwa batuan lava andesit di lapangan memiliki derajat pelapukan (kelas 1 dan Kelas 2 dengan kriteria segar (tidak lapuk) hingga lapuk ringan. Hasil uji tumbukan palu geologi yang didapat di lapangan menunjukkan bahwa batuan andesit tersebut sangat kuat hingga luar biasa kuat. Lava andesit tersebut memiliki berat jenis yang berkisar antara 2,578 gr/cm3 – 2,678 gr/cm3 . Hasil dari analisis laboratorium dan studio menunjukkan bahwa sampel 04 memiliki nilai kuat tekan 1193,542 ini dapat dipakai sebagai pondasi bangunan (bangunan sedang tekanan gandar < 7000 kg) dan dapat digunakan sebagai bahan landasan pacu pesawat terbang. Sampel 18 memiliki nilai kuat tekan 1121,281 dan sampel 50 memiliki nilai kuat tekan 1605,644.
