Abstract

Drainage system is a way to remove or remove water contained or inundated a
certain area. While the mine drainage system is a series of work units from the
tools/parts in the drainage system owned to control mining air. This effort is carried
out to prevent disruption of mining activities due to the presence of excessive
amounts of air at the mining site, especially during the rainy season. In addition,
this mine drainage system is also useful for minimizing tool damage, so that the
mechanical equipment used in the area has a long life. The mine drainage system
method used at PT. KIM is with an open channel system and also pumping. open
channel made around the mining site, the open channel then goes to setlingpond
and efforts are made to drain the air that has entered the main hole (Mine
Dewatering System) is done by making a well and after that it goes to sure by using
a pump Research location located at PT. The main KIM base is at an elevation of
24 masl and the mud pool is at an elevation of 101 masl with an open channel
surrounding the mining area. Based on field observations, the pumping system uses
1 pump line, 1 pump discharge line to the mine setlingpond. The pump used for the
mining area is 1 Multiflow mf 420 pump with a total discharge of 7983 m3/hour.
Furthermore, all water entering the mining area will be discharged to the
setlingpond. Total annual average bulk at PT. KIM is 60,06 mm/year with the
lowest rainfall occurring in March 2015 at 24,50 mm/month, while the highest
rainfall occurs in February 2013 at 695,00 mm/month = System penyaliran tambang berhubungan dengan Penanganan masalah air
dalam suatu tambang terbuka dapat dibedakan menjadi dua yaitu : Mine Drainage
yang merupakan upaya untuk mencegah masuk mengalirnya air ketempat
pengaliran. Hal ini umumnya dilakukan untuk penanganan air tanah dan air yang
berasal dari sumber air permukaan. Mine Dewatering yang merupakan upaya untuk
mengeluarkan air yang telah masuk ke dalam penggalian terutama untuk
penanganan air hujan. Curah hujan pada suatu tambang terbuka akan berakibat
menjadi daerah tangkapan hujan yang sangat berpotensi mengalirkan air ke area
tambang, Analisisi data curah hujan di lokasi penelitian dengan menggunakan
distribusi Gumbel, diperoleh curah hujan rencana 44,32 mm/hari sehingga
menyebabkan terakumulasinya air pada lantai pit. Dengan asumsi durasi hujan
berlangsung selama 24 jam, Debit air tambang pada lokasi penelitian 9871,18
m3
/jam dan volume sump 214.156,30 m3
, Air yang terakumulasi pada sump
dipompakan keluar menuju saluran terbuka dengan jumlah pompa yang digunakan
yaitu 1 unit pompa multiflo mf 420 1100 rpm dengan Head total yang didapat 93,47
m, efisiensi pompa 0,80%, dengan debit pompa 780 m3
/jam dan dipompa selama
12,66 jam . Dimensi saluran terbuka yang akan digunakan yaitu berbentuk
trapezium, Dimensi kolam 218.426 m3
. Baik tambang terbuka maupun tambang
bawah tanah menghasilkan air buangan yang bersifat asam yang disebut sebagai air
asam tambang, sehingga perlu dilakukan penelitian mengenai penanganan setelah
air asam tambang.
