Abstract

CV. Central Stone Perkasa is located in Plampang III Hamlet, Kokap District, Kulon Progo Regency, Special Province of Yogyakarta. Andesite mining activities are carried out using an open pit mining system which includes land clearing, overburden stripping, excavation, loading and marketing. The object studied in this study was the performance of the rock breaker unit in the demolition of andesite rocks at CV. Central Stone Perkasa. The demolition activity uses a JSB 20 G type rock breaker unit, totaling 1 unit. The results of field research show that currently the performance of the rock breaker unit in the field is very good even though the production target cannot be achieved due to avoidable and unavoidable obstacles. Thus reducing the effective working time and the Effective Utilization (EU) becomes low. The actual production of the rock breaker unit in the field is 125.87 tons/day, so the results have not reached the production target set by the company, which is 186,06 tons/day. To achieve the production target of 186,06 tons/day, efforts were made to improve by reducing the stand-by time of the rock breaker unit, resulting in an increase in productivity in the performance of the rock breaker unit, which was originally 125.87 tons/day. to 187,88 tonnes/day = CV. Central Stone Perkasa berlokasi di Dusun Plampang III, Kecamatan Kokap, Kabupaten Kulon Progo, Provinsi Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. Kegiatan penambangan batuan andesit dilakukan dengan menggunakan sistem tambang terbuka yang meliputi pembersihan lahan, pengupasan tanah penutup, penggalian, pemuatan serta pemasaran. Objek yang diteliti dalam penelitian ini adalah kinerja dari unit rock breaker pada kegiatan pembongkaran batuan andesit di CV. Central Stone Perkasa. Kegiatan pembongkaran menggunakan unit rock breaker tipe JSB 20 G, berjumlah 1 unit. Hasil penelitian dilapangan menunjukan bahwa saat ini kinerja dari unit rock breaker di lapangan sangat baik meskipun target produksi tidak dapat tercapai karena terdapat faktor hambatan yang dapat dihindari maupun tidak dapat dihindari. Sehingga memperkecil waktu kerja efektif dan Effective Utilization (EU) menjadi rendah. Produksi aktual unit rock breaker dilapangan adalah 125,87 ton/hari, maka dari hasil tersebut belum mencapai target produksi yang ditetapkan oleh perusahaan yaitu sebesar 186,06 ton/hari. Untuk mencapai target produksi sebesar 186,06 ton/bulan, maka dilakukan upaya perbaikan dengan mengurangi waktu stand by dari unit rock breaker, maka terjadi peningkatan produktivitas pada kinerja unit rock breaker yang semula 125,87 ton/hari. menjadi 187,88 ton/hari.
