Abstract

The paleontology study of occurence of Turritelline fossil in Java is verh interesting to do. The interesting thing Turritelline fossils arae often found in locations discovery of fossil mollusks. However, so far not many studies that discuss the relathionship of appearance Turritelline with the various aspects of geology one of such interest is studying the relashionship between morphologycal evolusions with geochronology aspects. This study aimed to determine Turritelline base on morphological obseravtions and to find out the relationship with geological development especially of chronological conditions stratigraphic analysis and sampling have done at ten type location of Mollusks biostratigraphy unit. Eigh species of Turritelline have been identifified formten locations. All these species show different patterns of shell morphologhy. The progression of morphologhy from old to young tends to two patterns. The first pattern foward of more angular morphloghy. These results are also proving that the fossil Turritelline can also be used to determine the age of rocks.
