Nusa Halmahera Minerals is a company engaged in gold ore mining that carries out its mining activities with surface mining methods at the Gosowong North Pit. The need for analysis on slopes at PT. Nusa Halmaher Minerals to determine the potential or symptoms of landslides, because mining activities such as demolition are often carried out on slopes. The right analysis is the analysis of rock mass classification using the SMR method to find out the description of whether the slope is good steady or bad. Stocky data collection on slopes using the scanline method was carried out at 3 observation locations with a scanline length of 50 meters each. The purpose of this study was to identify the compressive strength of intact rocks, RQD, discontinuity distance, discontinuity conditions, and groundwater conditions in the stout to determine the slope mass. Analyzing the stout direction, stout slope, slope direction, and slope slope which aims to determine the amount of weighting on the parameters to be used to determine the class of rock mass in the study area based on the Slope Mass Rating (SMR) method. The Slope Mass Rating (SMR) value is obtained from the results of weighting the RMR value with an adjustment factor that depends on the slope and adding one factor depending on the slope stripping method. The parameters used in this weighting are F1 which is the relationship between the stout direction and the slope direction, F2 which is the stout slope, F3 which is the relationship between the stout slope and the slope slope, and F4 which is the stripping method. The results of calculations by the researchers obtained weights including: (1) the compressive strength of intact rocks is 22.98 Mpa with a weight of 2, (2) Rock Quality Designation has a percentage of 94.55% with a weight of 20, (3) the distance or spacing of the discontinuity plane is 0.83 meters with a weight of 15, (4) The discontinuity condition has a weight of 17.33, (5) the condition of groundwater in a dry state with a weight of 15. So it is known that the final weighting of RMR is 67 for scanline 1, 71 for scanline 2, and 70 for scanline 3. After obtaining the final weight of RMR, the results of SMR with a weight of 62.22 on scanline 2 are included in class II with a description of Good, have a stable level of stability, and the avalanche criteria are several blocks. While the weight of 49.13 on scanline 1 and 56.22 on scanline 3 which is included in class III with a description of Medium, has a level of stability of Partially Stable, and the avalanche criteria are several stout or many wedges = PT. Nusa Halmahera Minerals merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak dibidang pertambangan bijih emas yang menjalankan kegiatan penambangannya dengan metode penambangan surface mining pada Pit Gosowong North. Perlunya analisis pada lereng di PT. Nusa Halmaher Minerals untuk mengetahui potensi atau gejala keterjadian longsor, dikarenakan aktivitas penambangan seperti pembongkaran sering dilakukan pada lereng. Analisis yang tepat adalah analisis klasifikasi massa batuan menggunakan metode SMR untuk mengetahui deskripsi apakah lereng baik mantap ataupun buruk. Pengambilan data kekar pada lereng menggunakan metode scanline dilakukan pada 3 lokasi pengamatan dengan panjang scanline masing-masing 50 meter. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi kuat tekan batuan utuh, RQD, jarak diskontinuitas, kondisi diskontinuitas, dan kondisi air tanah pada kekar untuk mengetahui massa lereng. Menganalisa arah kekar, kemiringan kekar, arah lereng, dan kemiringan lereng yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui besar pembobotan pada parameter yang akan digunakan untuk menentukan kelas massa batuan pada daerah penelitian berdasarkan metode Slope Mass Rating (SMR). Nilai Slope Mass Rating (SMR) didapatkan dari hasil pembobotan nilai RMR dengan faktor penyesuaian yang tergantung pada lereng dan menambahkan satu faktor tergantung peda metode pengupasan lereng. Parameter yang digunakan dalam pembobotan ini adalah F1 yaitu hubungan antara arah kekar dengan arah lereng, F2 yaitu kemiringan kekar, F3 yaitu hubungan antara kemiringan kekar dengan kemiringan lereng, dan F4 yaitu pada metode pengupasan. Hasil perhitungan oleh peneliti maka didapatkan pembobotan antara lain : (1) kuat tekan batuan utuh yaitu 22,98 Mpa dengan bobot 2, (2) Rock Quality Designation memiliki persentase 94.55% dengan bobot 20, (3) jarak atau spasi bidang diskontinuitas 0.83 meter dengan bobot 15, (4) Kondisi diskontinuitas memiliki bobot 17,33, (5) kondisi air tanah dalam keadaan kering dengan bobot 15. Sehingga diketahui pembobotan akhir RMR yaitu 67 untuk scanline 1, 71 untuk scanline 2, dan 70 untuk scanline 3. Setelah didapatkan bobot akhir RMR, diperoleh hasil SMR dengan bobot bobot 62,22 pada scanline 2 termasuk kedalam kelas II dengan deskripsi Baik, memiliki tingkat kestabilan Stabil, dan kriteria kelongsorannya berupa beberapa blok.
