One of the regions in Indonesia that has gold deposits is the Poboya area, Mantikulore District, Palu. The Poboya area has been used as a mining area with an area of 49 thousand hectares. The Poboya area has unique geological conditions where valuable minerals such as Au-Ag develop in limestone metamorphic rocks. The method used in this research is surface geological data collection, especially through geological, alteration and mineralization mapping which is integrated with laboratory analysis (petrography, mineralography and X-Ray Diffraction). There are 3 alteration zones in the research area, namely, the silicic zone (vein system), a propylitic zone characterized by the presence of chlorite minerals, and a clay zone (clay) which is characterized by the presence of the minerals illite, smectite, and kaolinite. The mineralization found in the research area is a group of sulfide minerals consisting of one type of mineral, namely pyrite. These sulfide minerals make up the vein body (Vein body) has the fill character (infilling) with a mineralization pattern that is present in the form of a quartz vein system. The vein textures found in the research area have 5 textures, namely Crystalin carbonate, Bladed, masive quartz, chalcedonic and lattice bladed. research area goes deep uppermost level or chalcedonic superzone = Indonesia yang berada dalam zona cincin gunung api dunia membuat banyak dijumpai jalur gunung api, sehingga pembentukan emas di wilayah magmatic sangat menarik untuk di teliti.
